Mandatory Marriage Registration: All marriages must be registered within 60 days, with an online portal launched for easy registration.

Historical Commitment: The UCC was a major BJP promise during the 2022 Uttarakhand Assembly elections, contributing to their historic victory.
Exclusion of Scheduled Tribes: The UCC excludes Scheduled Tribes and certain protected communities to preserve their rights and traditions.
CM Dhami’s Vision: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that the UCC is not against any religion but aims to eliminate discrimination and empower women.
