The finale Ahmedabad concert becomes the first ticketed concert in India which has witnessed attendees of more than a lakh. Before this concert, the largest-ever ticketed concert in India was performed by Justin Bieber at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai in 2017 and by Diljit Dosanjh at Sector 34 Ground in Chandigarh in 2024. Both of them have witnessed a crowd of 50000 people.
However, according to some reports, there were 65000 attendees in Justin Bieber’s concert. Nevertheless, there is no clarity on the claim of 2 lakh attendees in the concert performed by Yo Yo Honey Singh in Haldia in 2020. Sharing a short content from the concert on social media, the railway minister of India, Ashwini Vaisnav, talked about the achievement of the concert, which reflects the capabilities of India to host “world-class events”.

The finale on Republic Day was not only a benchmark in the history of Indian concerts but also the biggest concert for Coldplay, surpassing the crowd of 83000 attendees in their performance in Sydney in November 2023. Nevertheless, the record number of attendees at the Ahmedabad concert does not break the world record. The world record for the largest ticketed concert is in the name of Italian singer Vasco Rossi, who witnessed a crowd of 225000 attendees at Modena Park in 2017. In the history of free concerts, the name of Rod Stewart comes first who holds the world record of 3,500,000 attendees in Rio de Janeiro.
