In an exclusive interview with indianexpress.com, Bala highlighted how Amazon Bedrock, the machine learning platform of AWS, empowers Indian enterprises by providing localized access to large language models (LLMs) as well as generative AI. This local deployment translates to faster processing times and reduced latency, which, importantly, improves the performance of AI-driven applications. “With the Amazon Bedrock available from our Mumbai region, our customers will benefit from quicker processing and faster response times for their generative AI applications,” Bala explained.

Transforming Indian Industries with Amazon Bedrock

Bala also underlined the diverse applications of Amazon Bedrock across several Indian industries, including the media, insurance, technology services, automotive, and health and wellness, as well as shared success stories, such as Happyfox, an enterprise help desk solution provider. Furthermore, by integrating Amazon Bedrock’s generative AI models, Happyfox achieved a 40% automation rate in the responses to customer queries, resulting in faster response times and improved satisfaction among the customer, along with a 20% boost in the productivity of the agent.

Another notable example is L&T Technology Services, which supports automotive manufacturers transitioning to software-driven vehicles by leveraging Amazon Bedrock. L&T accelerated its application development cycles and created virtual testing environments in the cloud, reducing time-to-market. “Companies are leveraging the generative AI to innovate customer experiences, boost productivity, and also reimagine their operations with the AI-assisted tools,” Bala noted.
