The ED has filed a chargesheet against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald money laundering case.

The charges allege the Gandhis orchestrated a criminal conspiracy to acquire Rs 2,000 crore worth of assets from Associated Journals Ltd (AJL).

The ED claims the loan of Rs 90.21 crore to AJL was converted into equity, which was transferred to Young Indian for a nominal price.

The ED investigation also revealed that Young Indian, listed as a non-profit, had no charitable activities, as per the Companies Act.
