Why did he quit acting on India?
One of the main reasons due to the geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan. It all started in 2016 when the Indian army headquarters, which is located in Uri, was attacked by terrorists that has been accused of being sponsored by the Pakistan army. This led to a growing tension between both sides. In this wave, The Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association or IMPPA has passed a resolution that they won’t work with any Pakistan artist anymore citing security and patriotism as one of the main reasons in this process.
This led artists such as Fawad Khan, who is of Pakistani background, to have no choice but to stop acting in India in this process. This also automatically generates another question of what he would be doing now if he had stopped acting in Indian films.
