‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has successfully completed a 40-day theatrical run, witnessing several box office records. Prabhas starrer, this film will now be considered as the fourth highest grossing film in India at the domestic box office as it surpassed Jawan, which has captured the fourth position before Kalki.
Nag Ashwin directed the science fiction drama, Kalki has generated a box office collection of Rs 640.6 crore net in 40 days in India. On the other hand, Jawan, in which Shah Rukh Khan was in the lead role, has collected Rs 640.25 crore in its lifetime theatrical run in India.
In the context of both net and gross box office collections in India, Jawan has been beaten by Kalki, which is also the biggest Indian film of 2024 till now. According to Sacnilk, the Hindi edition of Kalki 2898 AD is at the forefront with an estimated Rs350 crores in gross earnings (Rs 290 crores net). The Telugu version follows closely with 335 crores in gross revenue, while the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have collectively earned about Rs 75 crores to till now.

Prabhas, starring Baahubali 2 which was released in 2017, is still considered as the highest domestic grosser with a gross box office of around Rs 1417 crore (Rs 1030 crore net). The second spot was captured by KGF: Chapter 2 with around Rs 1001 crore gross collection (Rs 860 crore net), while RRR secured the third position with a domestic gross box office collection of around Rs 916 crore (Rs 782 crore net).

Kalki 2898 AD is a Telugu language science fiction drama film which was released on 27th June 2024 in six languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and English. Nag Aswin is the director of this film while the producer of the film is Vyjayanthi Movies. The film was initially titled Project K in which the star cast includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
