Superstar Rajnikanth has been honoured with a Golden Visa from the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Abu Dhabi government. The legendary actor expressed his gratitude towards the UAE’s government and his good friend MA Yusuff Ali, the chairman and managing director of Lulu Group, for honouring him with this visa. Sharing a picture of Rajnikanth receiving his visa, the trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote on X (Formerly Twitter), “UAE Culture and Tourism Department grants #GoldenVisa to #Superstar @rajnikanth. In the picture, it has been seen that Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), Government of Abu Dhabi, is handing over the Golden Visa to Rajnikanth while Yusuff Ali is also present there.

On a recent visit to the UAE, Rajinikanth and his friend Yusuff Ali, along with some other top executives of Lulu Group on Monday, were found together spending quality time. The superstar and the businessman also shared a ride in a Rolls Royce which led to the spreading of speculations regarding any potential business collaboration among them. However, with the latest announcement on Thursday, it is clearly evident that the meeting was to get the support of Yusuff to receive the visa.

There are two upcoming films of Rajnikanth which are officially announced, among which Vettaiyan is scheduled to be released in October 2024. This film is directed by T.J. After Vettaiyan, the next project, Rajnikanth, is Coolie for which the superstar collaborated with the new age director Lokesh Kanagraj who has created a sensation among commercial film lovers through his previous films like Kaithi, Vikram and Leo.
